She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Central Florida.
Her talk is titled ‘Robotically Exploring Silicic Volcanism on the Moon” and it is bound to be an interesting and engaging talk!

Spring Kick-OFF Social
Our Spring Kick-Off Social was well attended and offered multiple opportunities for members to connect with one another. Interactive activities helped spark conversation and made it easier for attendees to meet people outside their usual circles. It was a strong start to the semester for the GWIS–Madison community. Personal Finance Seminar
Thank you to Dr. Carolina Mendoza Cavazos for leading our Personal Finance Seminar and sharing practical insights on managing finances as a graduate student. The session provided helpful guidance on budgeting, saving, and beginning to think about long-term investing. We appreciate the time and expertise shared with attendees.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our GWIS–Madison Apple Picking Social! It was a wonderful afternoon spent enjoying the fall weather, connecting with members, and building community outside the lab. We’re grateful for everyone who came and made the event so much fun.
Madison Marathon Volunteer Event
Thank you to everyone who attended our Madison Marathon fundraising event. Together, we helped runners brave the cold temperatures and smash personal athletic goals by handing out care packages on the race sidelines. The money raised by this event will be used to fund future GWIS events and scholarships vital for our organization’s mission!
Hockey Match Game Social
Thanks to everyone who joined us for the GWIS–Madison hockey game social! It was such a fun night to unwind, cheer on the team, and enjoy time together. We’re already looking forward to the next outing!

Huge thank you to WARF for the Q&A on From Discovery to Design: Women in IP and Innovation. The conversation on women’s roles in IP, patent law, and tech transfer was incredibly informative and sparked thoughtful discussion among attendees.
